Club Description:

The Dargaville Radio Controlled Racers Car Club was established about 10 Years ago and has in recent times enjoyed steady growth in members. From its humble beginnings when four guys raced there cars in a church carpark, we have grown to be a club that regularly has about 25 to 30 cars racing at our track at any given race meet.

The purchase of the I-Laps lap counting system in 2008 has given us the ability to improve the qualiy of our race meets, and makes it very interesting when you can find out all the information about how your car performed in each race.

The Club holds race meets every second weekend on a Saturday at 2 pm at the Nazarene Church Carpark at 4 Grey Street Dargaville or at the Dargaville Town Hall, Hokianga Road if wet and when available.

We are also in the process of building a OFF ROAD track at our club that will see an increase in our race meets and provide for both onroad and offroad racing hopefully making for some close and exciting racing.

Our club has also recently joined NZRCA, and this has helped us to make the running of our race meets easier by giving us class rules that are the same for all clubs. This has made it easier to enforce the race rules and we are able to race at other clubs around the country and know that our cars will comply to their rules aswell.

Some of our members are regular racers at the Whangarei R/C Club and have done quite well there. We have also sent teams to race at Whangarei's Winter 200 race meet for the last 2 years and they have enjoyed the racing and can't wait till next year.
