The latest word from Jason at the track @ 9:30am is that the sun is out and the track is almost dry.

See you all there!

I would just like to say a big thanks to all the CMR team who worked behind the scenes to get this event off the ground. A special thanks goes out the Jason and his family for making the event very well run and laid back, very much appreciated.

Thanks Russ for lending me your car to race, sorry for the 1.5 laps on 3 wheels  and thanks Ed and Brian for lending me the rest. (y)

Thanks to Jason, his family and the rest of the crew.

Great effort, especially on the weather front.

Cheers
Peter

Jason,

Thanks for a great meeting, well done! Pity not more entries as it was a highly enjoyable weekend and the track was awsome.

Just out of interest, how were points ties resolved? I'm looking in particular at super stock where three of us had 6 points.

the method used was by how many points you got less your worst, then by qualifling position

I see. I think we need some sort of standardisation of the points system, but the rule doesn't get specific so clubs can adopt any system they want (I can feel a remit coming on  ).

I would have thought it would be fairer to take either the discarded points to break the tie, or work on who did the fastest time in the finals, and ignore qualifying altogether.

yes, possibly but i did state it during drivers breifing

but yes i think we could tidy this up for the future, many programs have different settings, and way to decide meetings

Your little red mini seems pretty fast too, Daniel. Looks as if it even lifts off an inside rear wheel when cornering hard too, just like the real thing!

A great weekends racing. Thanks to Jason and family, Ed and Pj for keeping us all in check and running a smooth and problem free event. Thanks to all the out of towners for traveling to the event. Without you guys it would have been like a CMR onroad points round. Thanks for the competition to the guys in mini, it was heaps of fun (except the second main  ) Bring on the Nationals. :D :D

Glen
