motor never got above 60 deg all day and pretty happy with speed down the straight.
I was running an LRP x12 13.5 with a SPX Stock Spec speedo setting 4 then 5, geared at 6.1 and I was running around 80c most of the weekend... no fans on my heatsink though which would have cooled things down a bit :)

Cheers,
Russell
Hi Russell, yeah I had the motor on a cooler for both stock and SSbefore each race and two fans on the motor...helped heaps! I saw you were running a BDM do you have a set up you could fire through...keen to do some testing on mine through the season...and yes you were looking quick!...nice work on third mate (y)

In my super stock class car, I was using EPIC Nemesis with 2degree timing,LRP SXX-TC ESC, Muchmore 5200mAh 40C battery, 4.1:1 gear ratio (similar as my stock touring ratio). Motor got up to 75 degrees in temperature. wow.... hot stuff...
I was running two high speed fan on the motor already. :(
Not bad in speed but I didn't have much time to test the optimal ratio. I think I only have one battery to check before the meeting.. :P

Slightly biased but...
the fastest car I saw in a straight line was Matt Whitmarsh's running the Tekin and the new V203 software.
Temps coming of in the 60-70c range.

Fast in a straight line, but man it didn't like the corners. I've since done the in-line motor plate thing similar to Ed's. Hopefully balancing it better might improve cornering.

having done some testing now with the motor mount, had to make a few setup changes, but man, mines planted now (just hope the driver can keep up)
