It would be great to see some travellers down for this one. First meeting of its kind in the deep south. The guys are working hard to make sure it comes off.

The fast guys run exclusively foams (wheels/tyres are open)

I have shepherd 30's and 32's, but guys are experimenting with harder compounds around 37 and possibly going faster.

The carpet is designed for hall events. 4m wide rolls. It's second hand but still has great grip and there are no threadbare sections. It's 300% better than old house carpet. We have secured more carpet for the champs so the track size is about double what you see in the attached image. This is our monthly clubnight layout.

Here is the new venue we have secured for the champs. The stage is deceptively high, it's over a meter. We will be getting some scaffolding erected to keep the drivers safe.

Awesome looking venue. Would love to have come down unfortunately the $600 airfare will prohibit me from attending this event. All the best for the event and please keep updated as to how it all goes.

Not everyone has that money just lying around. Maybe look at other options. Maybe fly to chch a week before. And hire a car. And drive down. Or something like that

Good morning.
This link is to a 4min video of the highlights from our Southland Indoor Champs.
This was a first for us and to have 3 from Chch and one from Dunedin made it pretty special.
The finals in 13.5 blinky were as intense as any Nationals. Three different winners.
This meeting introduced about a dozen new guys to the formal running of a championship - they loved it!
