Haha! I thought the forum was suspiciously quiet on the control tires front. Not that I disagree. Does seem an odd choice.

4WD Front Cut Staggers are crap they last 3-4 runs then they turn into Dough.

The wide Front Pin 4wd tyre is what Mangu and myself have been running and we reckon they are the perfect choice from what we have tried great decision on NHRCCC (y)

???
I used them for about 4 meetings and they are still fine, you sure you used yellow and not silver?
Anyway 4wd front mini pins it is and you can cut them so easy enough to get them to the grip you need.

People have asked how many set's they need and we found the wear is quite low so for racing 2 set's is plenty on 2wd and 4wd but I would get 3 pairs of 4wd fronts so you have a backup if you cut a set up too much. 1 pair of Schumacher Cut Stagger Yellow compound will last the whole meeting but you might want 2 pairs of 6MIK's if you use them.
1 set is fine on trucks and I can't help on SCT but others should be able to advise.

The problem is I don't think the organisers know how the wear is until the track is laid. It would depend on what carpet they get. First year lots of wear. Second was none.

Guys this thread is for the event only,

It is not a place to debate.

The event is a control Tyre event, this has been communicated to the RC community so everyone knows what is required for tyres / inserts.

The organizers of this event do not wish this thread to be used as a Agony Aunt Forum.

NZ Retailers you are more than welcome to advertise your products that support this event, but we encourage that it is all done in a fair and reasonable manner.
Any comments or posts that are inappropriate will be removed.

Outside of National Titles this the premier Electric Offroad 1/10 scale event for New Zealand, Lets keep it that way. (y)

If the short course tires are the same as last year I have a few sets on Losi rims, used at last years meeting only if anybody's after some.
