HRCCC would like to announce the birth the Waikato Carpet Champs.

Web site is up and info pack ready to be downloaded.

Click here http://2014wcc.hrccc.co.nz/index.php We can almost guarantee you'll love it!

There will be more information to come soon, how ever to get every one interested and excited here are some details of what to expect.

Indoor: (Gauranteed Racing)

Surface: (Carpet)

Dates: (June 21st & 22nd, August 16th & 17th)

Gender: Both On Road and Off Road Classes (Conditions will apply)

Attention all an update to the race format. HRCCC have had to make a difficult but necessary call. Due to the numbers of all the Pan Chassis F1, Pro 10 & Pro 12 we have decided to pull these classes from the race format.

The great new is that we are going to replace them with, Micro scale, 2wd & 4wd Short course. we know it is short notice how ever looking at the popularity of these classes and the up and coming NZIOC that this will be one of your few chances of getting these beasts on a similar race circuit and to test set ups etc.

The 7 car minimum entry will still apply and the WCC web site will be up dated later to day.

If you have any questions please post here or PM me, and I will reply as soon as I can.

Both short course classes will run under NZRCA rules tyres are open.

Rules for micros are as follows:
1. 380 motors or smaller.
2. Motors must have a 2mm shaft.
3. Brushless Motors must be sensor less.
4. Max of 6 cells nixx.
5. Max 2 cell liPo.
6. Foam tyres are not allowed.
7. Cars must be prepared to go over jumps.

Now let the talking begin.

Agreed Brett,

With this event over two separate weekends and the CRC Speedshow event in AKL in July there will be plenty for us all to do over the winter months (y)

Looking forward to both events!

UPDATE - We've been given the opportunity to do some tyre testing which we weren't sure was going to possible prior to releasing info about the Waikato Carpet Champs... so at this stage we'd like to advise everyone to hold off on buying tyres for their touring cars.
There may be a change to allowing treaded rubber tyres in addition to slicks. This is yet to be advised. What hasn't changed is that foam tyres will not be allowed.
We will advise everyone asap.

Offroad cars (with the exception of stock trucks) must run rubber tyres. No foams.

Venue is in central Hamilton. Hint... The guys/gals who raced at hrccc 20 years ago will be right at home.

Why are they two day meetings?
It's hard enough to get to one day meetings let alone a whole weekend.

Running the drivers series was never as good when it was a two day event, two one day events would be just as good and I would think more people would go?

What is the view from others?

All classes that run at HRCCC club meetings will be offered in addition to 4WD Open Buggy and 2WD Open Buggy.

Classes will need 7 or more registered to run.

More info coming soon.

It's two weekends of 52 in a year in the middle of winter... not sure what the big issue is Nathan?
We will never be able to please everyone which is unfortunate but we're offering the event as we see fit, its not open for debate sorry.
