Hi All,
After alot of time behind the scenes, we can now announce our race format for the 2016 NHRCCC Onroad Champoinships.

Yes that's right Championships... more on that in a moment.

With plans well underway to get our outdoor venue back up and running, the committee wanted to have the flexibility of being able to head back outdoors as soon as we can. And there is nothing worse then getting 80% through a race season, only to change venues. And as a club we have always wanted to try different things, so for this year, we have changed things up a bit for you on road fanatics.

Firstly, there will be a club championship running all season long for all current classes run at St Lukes.

Mini
F1
Pro10
Pro12
21.5 Touring
Open Touring

Like Offroad, our points system has been given an overhaul. Points are awarded for finals only.

1 = 50 pt 2= 46 3= 43 4= 40 5= 37 6= 34 7= 32 8= 30 9= 28 10= 26 11 down less 1 point
This is for club championship only.

Our Club Championship runs for 8 Meetings. The Points accumulated over these 8 meetings will be included in the Club Classic this year. Yep that's right the Club Classic is back, New Format spread over the final two meetings of the season - Final details of the Club Classic will be posted up later in the year.

Also New for this season, we are having a series of mini series running along side of our regular club nights. Club Members still get their regular club points at these events.
How does this work, Over the course of the year we will have feature events, where the particular event gains points for its own mini series, with prizes etc.
These events will be split across the year

Pan Car Champs Presented By UFRA Tyres / Teamsaxo – Dates 27/02/16 Round 1 23/04/16 Round 2 30/07/16 Final
Classes – F1 / Pro12 / Pro10

Triple Touring Challenge– 19/03/16 Round 1 28/05/16 Round 2 24/09/16 Final
Stock Touring / Open Touring

This will be the standard 3 qualifiers and 1 final
Points for these two series are as follows
Each race night there will be a maximum of 80 Points on offer, these points will be split as so.
Maximum of 30 Points for Qualifying per class split by 1 point for each subsequent position from TQ. These points are based on your over all qualifying position for the night
so TQ = 30 Points, 2nd = 29 Pt, 3rd = 28 Pt etc
We will still run a maximum of 3 qualifiers and a single final.
Finals points are as follows ( Per Class & on Overall Finishing position for the round )
1st = 50 Pt , 2nd = 46 Pt, 3rd = 43 Pt, 4th = 40 Pt, 5th = 37 Pt, 6th = 34 Pt, 7th = 32 Pt, 8th = 30 Pt, 9th = 28 Pt, 10 = 26 Pt, 11 = 25 Pt, 12 = 24 Pt etc

Then we have the Season of Endurance, Two Events, 10 Teams of 3 Drivers, 1 M Chassis per team. Pit stops, Driver changes, Strategy, (y)
25/06/16 Round 1 27/08/16 Round 2
Enduro run between quali and finals on those nights
Grids Round 1, Marble draw, Round 2 finishing position of round 1
No Points for this race, Just winner takes all.

Further Details shortly.

The Mini Series are open to all current NZRCA Members. Club Points and Club Classic Points are open to all NHRCCC Members.

So there we have it,, Lets Get this season Underway!!! (y)

Just one question/request. With the f1 mini series. If there is only say 12guys there. Could we possibly just run them all together in the final. Rather than split them up. Only if room is available on track.

Only reason I ask is cause how are people like me going to get better against they likes of Marty. Or Murray. If we don't get a chance to race them often

At this stage we are restricted by the safety of our drivers stand . We are working on making this safer..

From a saftey perspective, until we get the drivers stand upgraded I doubt we will be having 10 car finals, But a good thing is,, the points are based on your final finishing position, (y)

Ah ok. So if there's 7 people in the a final. And you win the second final you still get points for 8th if I'm in the right track

Yes that is correct. Points are based on your final position in the finals.

I'm guessing we have to be a financial member to be able to take part in the mini side championship.
