Huge thanks to Stu and Trevor Reid from Racelines.co.nz

Re: what is the best way to run in a motor?

Yeah use water.

I think I'm going back to the old method of a 'running on a 4 cell battery for as long as you can' is going to be the norm soon with no water dipping. As Matt said the brushes are too hard. I water dipped my test motor for an hour and they still didn't seat properly.

Re: what is the best way to run in a motor?

This is how I did mine at the nats... I dipped mine in fuel lite. Put it on 7.4 volts for about 15s only, change the fuel-lite, and another 15s. Then run it at 8v 3A for as long as I could, while keeping it cool with fans, and making sure the bushes are oiled. Plus add comm drops to keep the comm co...

Re: FDR for stock

Yeah it was a bit higher (y) I just cranked it until the body didn't scrap while Gareth was practicing Here is a quick breakdown of my setup (remember is for Albany - works well - great base setup which is easy to drive, can be developed further to suit your driving style...) Ride Height: 7mm, 7mm F...

Re: TA05 VS TC5 for stock

You've missed the point if you think there was an insult at you, or your mum. It certainly wasn't. I'm sure she's a lovely lady that makes a good cuppa tea like all mums. The point was, if you have something to say - you should say it, instead of coming across snarky. Albeit said in sarcasm, it soun...

Re: TA05 VS TC5 for stock

If I went upto Shane Cameron, and said "no Offence - but your Mums fat", I cant be too surprised if he beat the crap outta me simply because I said 'No Offence'. You shouldnt hide behind sarcasm, there is a saying that goes along the lines of "not a truer word is said in jest.' What you should say i...

Re: TA05 VS TC5 for stock

It's what NZ'ers love to do. It's called tall poppy The class is very cheap to run, cheaper than it's ever been - problem is people think that you must be cheating or spending way too much to keep winning Matt. Only way to let the non-skilled drivers win is to change the rules - which doesn't change...

Re: HRCCC 6 HOUR ENDURO

I had to take a few days to sober the feelings about the enduro. Maybe just to make sure that it wasn't just pumped up by 6 hours of adrenalin? And 2 days later it's still the same... THE BEST R/C EVENT EVER! Thank you HRCCC - amazing everything - track layout - surface. You need to host a Nationals...
