Kyosho Optima Celebration Gold Edition

Got hold of an Optima a while back that needed a good old clean and tidy up. When Kyosho sales of the Optima reached 100,000 the decided to bring out a limited production run of a Gold edition kit using gold parts from the Option House range and fitting the low profile chrome wheels and OT-66 tyres ...

The collection

Some time ago someone asked for a photo of the collection Chris and i have been putting together.
Just recently i put some more shelves in the Man Cave to accommodate it all - here's the result.

Kyosho Ultima and Marui Ninja

Two restorations i have just finished leading up to Xmas.
The Ultima was in good condition and just needed a good cleanup, new body and decals.
The Ninja required a bit more work including new body and decals.
The tyres are a bit perished but will have to do as they are somewhat difficult to find.

Kyosho Javelin.

Restored this car a few months back. The car was in quite good condition just needing some elbow grease after a full strip down to cleanup. Perhaps the worst part was the frame body that had been painted red but the Tamiya paint stripper did the job and now its nice and orange again. We got some rep...

Kyosho Diecast RC cars

Got these two diecast RC cars for my birthday-just love them the detail is fantastic.
I have put a photo of them with the Hirobo Alien Mid4 which now has its MCI Racing decals on to give you an idea of their size.
They were released in 2006 by Kyosho and it seems they only did these two.

Kyosho Lazer ZX-R

This project has taken 2+ years to complete as it was missing many parts but finally gathered them all in and with the arrival of the TBG body and the MCI Racing decals she can now join the collection. The shocks are the Ultimate shocks that were fitted to the Lazer ZX-RR as i could not find the W-5...

Kyosho Rocky 4wd

I rather like the old Rocky with its bright colour scheme.
This somewhat under rated car got a lot of people into the sport of rc racing.
Glad to add it to the collection.

Ultima Pro

This project has been dragging on for some time trying to find parts but is now finished.
The only problem i still have is the front tyres which are not correct should be W-5074 pins but are difficult to find and very expensive when they do turn up.

Optima Mid Custom Special

I have never been sure if i liked the body on this version of the Mid but now finally having done one i rather like it. It looks better in the flesh than in the photos. Seems impossible the find the normal yellow versions of MA-17 rears and OT-21 fronts and very expensive when they do turn up. I had...

Kyosho Triumph

The body arrived from TBG in Canada and the decals from MCI Racing.
Very happy with the quality of both products.
