Re: Kyosho Javelin.

Nice work Dennis. I always loved the look of the Javelin back in the day. The re-release seems to be available now.

Re: AGM/Remits

I think Nathan is right once again. If anything this rule change will mostly affect modified, as most people will still race stock. In my opinion stock is fast enough for most people now, and especially those that are maybe midfield in modified, but near the front in stock will have an easy decisio...

Re: AGM/Remits

As an aside, the remit to reduce race time for 1/10th off-road from 6min to 5min was passed as I understand it. I have to agree with Scott and Shane, again even though it affects me, it is better for the up-coming drivers in stock to not have the A-Main stacked with top modified drivers at the one m...

Re: Sorex tyres

Yeah, 24s are the goto for stock. I remember even running 20s in mid-winter.

Re: Sorex tyres

I don't think Sorex do a 25, but they do 24 - that's probably what you're looking for Braedyn.

Re: 2017 North Island On Road Champs. Nov 10-12

I would have loved to attend both events, so I guess I'll just have to choose one now. I wonder how many north island drivers will choose this, because it's in the same island, over the nationals in Nelson? I wonder if Nelson have the option to change.

No dates will not be changing
This event isn't even on the NZRCA 'Events' list on their website, but the 1/8th EP offroad nationals are - there is still a rule in place stating "There will be only one NZRCA sanction (sic) event on any given date", how have you got around that?

So on another note has anyone else realised that the proposed lipo rules remit doesn't include lipos to be hard cased???
Including yours, Nick. That's something that definitely needs correcting.

Re: 2017 North Island On Road Champs. Nov 10-12

Wow, I thought that track was long gone.

This event is on the same weekend as the 1/8th EP offroad nationals at Nelson.

Re: AGM/Remits

The micro packs that people run at Hamilton are hard case and are usually 1800mAh. As you say, they have to be hard case to meet the rules. I run the Turnigy 2600 or 2400 super-shorties in all of my 1/10th off-road vehicles - they are the same size as one half of a saddle, but are 2s - gives a weigh...

Re: AGM/Remits

Matt, i only just seen this from your very first post " Remit 2 about taking the stand in qualifying order will apply to every final at every sanctioned event (IC/EP/on/off) - just think about who will organise and police this and the time it will take." Do you mean, joe blogs qualified 1st in the ...

Re: AGM/Remits

There's surely no reason why you couldn't have a 32 for SS and mod and a 28 for stock? Can't be that difficult to police or organise, can it?

Re: AGM/Remits

Brooooooo, whaaaaaat? You don't still turn up on a horse and cart do you? What century is your car from? Wasn't it you complaining earlier about people are prepared to go out and buy a new chassis because its new but not some tyre warmers. Not me. Takes me years to get a good setup on a chassis, so...
